Privacy

Proof I Did Something is a small, simple tool. This early version does not require an account, and it does not send the words you write to a server or store them in a database anywhere.

What you type into the proof form stays in your browser, only so the live preview and the PNG you download or share can be generated. Your proof text is never sent to or stored on a server.

Your personal proof number (the count shown as “PROOF #…”) is stored locally in your browser using its built-in storage, so it can pick up where you left off next time you visit. It lives only on your device — clearing your browser's site data or storage will reset it back to #001.

If you choose to download your proof card, share it, or post it to X, that action happens on your device. Sharing opens your device's native share sheet or a standard X post window; what you do there is between you and that app or service, governed by their own terms.

As the product grows, this page will be updated to reflect any changes in how data is handled. For now: no account, no server storage, no tracking of what you write.
