Overview

Proof I Did Something is currently a local-first MVP. You do not need an account to use it, and the MVP does not provide a backend account or proof-history service.

Proof content

Draft text and created-proof text are processed in your browser to render the preview and generate the proof image. The application does not intentionally send or store that text on its own application server. Proof content may be sent to another service when you explicitly choose an action such as Open X or Share proof through your browser or operating system.

Local browser storage

Your personal proof number is stored in localStorage when it is available. If browser storage is unavailable, the application uses an in-memory value for the current session. Clearing browser data may reset the counter. This MVP does not persistently store your proof text or a history of your proofs.

Hosting and ordinary infrastructure data

The site is hosted through Vercel. Like ordinary web infrastructure, Vercel and related hosting systems may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP addresses, user agents, timestamps, requested URLs, and security or operational logs. No specific retention period is claimed here.

Sharing and third parties

Open X sends the generated post text to X through an X intent URL. Share proof uses the native browser or operating-system share sheet, and whichever destination you select may process the shared proof under its own terms and privacy policy. Download PNG creates a local file through your browser.

Analytics and advertising

The current MVP does not intentionally use advertising trackers, behavioural advertising, or account-based analytics. No dedicated product analytics service is currently configured. This statement does not override the ordinary technical processing performed by hosting infrastructure.
